CLEVER CLIMATE COMMITTEE
Clever Climate is firmly embedded in climate science and keeps a close contact both with meteorological, climatological and other relevant scientific institutes as well as numerous established and renowned individual climate scientists. Some of these take part in the clever climate committee.
Here you can read some of their personal views, why they support the aim of this platform, what their biggest concerns are and in what direction they presume our best chances can be found or what direction they think is explicitly worriesome.

Pier Vellinga
“The ice caps of Greenland and Antarctica show clear signs of melting, much earlier than expected. Positive feedbacks in ecosystems are in the pipeline likely to reinforce global warming. Only a drastic change in energy sources and land use can control our impact on the global climate. But what if even this will not be enough.
Additional options therefore deserve the attention of researchers, if only to underline that the problem of climate change is far more urgent than many realise.”
